Contest Cartasia 2012

Cartasia 2012, Biennial of Contemporary Art, announces the opening of entries to the competition of sculpture in paper and cardboard.

As in years past the selected artists will take part in the open-air exhibition which will take place in Lucca from 30 June to July 29, 2012, and the winner will receive a cash prize of € 2,000 .00.

The event will be a breath of customary international and is shaping up to be an event of great appeal (in 2010 there were 180 members).

The theme to which artists must follow in building installations is:

Crisis and Rebirth.

To enter the contest you must register on the website of Cartasia, www.cartasia.it, download the notice together with the project, compile it, and send it to:

Cultural Association Metropolis, via dei Bocchi No. 241, 55018, Segromigno in Piano, Capannori,  Lucca.

The deadline to apply is December 9, 2011.

Cartasia is growing Edition after Edition, and through collaboration with other European festivals is exporting its creativity worldwide. This sixth edition is planned a collaboration with the city of Metz in France, a project that involves the exchange of works and ideas between the two events together by the desire to promote the artistic avant-garde of the paper at the international level.
